Professional Development

The Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Applied Linguistics at UFRJ aims to help develop highly qualified professionals at master and doctoral levels. The master’s course offers basic knowledge within the area and research supervision to enable the development of the skills and critical thinking necessary to engage in scientific undertakings. The doctoral program offers students the chance to acquire more in-depth experience in academia and undertake original, independent, autonomous research with a view to becoming a researcher capable of articulating current-day problems in which language has a central role.
